After the single elimination on day 6 was done the wind was not suitable to start a double. The result of the single elimination went straight into the overall event result. Jose Gollito Estredo (Fanatic/North Sails) on third, Steven van Broeckhoven (F2/Gaastra) on second and Taty Frans (Starboard) on first place made it on the podium. Considering the time, the single elimination started at 5.45am, the competition wasn`t an easy one, but in the end the Surf Worldcup Podersdorf once again proved that it´s a one-of-a-kind Windsurf event. As soon as the race crew called it a day, riders fell in their beds to be ready for the price giving ceremony and party at the local bar “Martinskeller“. At the party riders recalled the past, exhausting event days. The party got started as event organiser Gerhard Polak awarded the guys on the podium with big cups.
