10Years ago I hoisted a guy to work on a mast, the mast came down due to a shroud failure after a sudden wave from passing by boat (ultra bad timing thought)
How do u cut the halyard quick enough…. Luckily I’ve managed to pull the mast out enough to get my guy out of the water and buy him time to cut the halyard, but few seconds faster can make the difference. Also some training before, with now days this is a must
Make sure it has a permanent place on yr harness or tape on one on the mast as and extra safety, hopefully this ll be 25skr that u ll never need to use :)
