Lee-Ann Curren Pulls Out of Movistar Peru Classic

CAPBRETON, France - ASP Women's World Tour rookie and current No. 12 Lee-Ann Curren (Biarritz, FRA) has officially pulled-out of the Movistar Peru Classic due to a knee injury.

Curren, only French and European athlete on this year's ASP Women's World Tour, injured her knee during a training session in France where she was spending time at home after a busy first half of the year.

Sitting No. 12 after three events and having avoided first-round eliminations at all events since the start of her rookie campaign, Curren's potential remains intact and the young talented athlete, a multiple ASP European Junior and Star Series Champion, will be back when the tour hits Europe in October.

Third French and European to ever qualify for the coveted elite ASP Top 17, Curren has set her sight on requalifying by making the cut inside the Top 11 by this year's end. A goal no other French femal athlete has ever achieved.
