Delving into the lifestyle of one of the hottest female wave sailors on the planet, we quiz Iballa Moreno about her time out from PWA competition.

PWA: Where are you right now?

IM: Sitting in front of the computer, killing a bit of time while the tide comes in, then I’ll go sailing!

PWA: When was the last time you hit the water, and what break were you sailing?

IM: Last week in Pozo Izquierdo, here in my home town of Gran Canaria, in the Canaries.

PWA: How were conditions, and who were you out with?

IM: It was really good, 4.5m weather and some pretty good waves. I was sailing with a bunch of my friends; Daida, Silvia Alba, Toni Frey, Lee Korzits and a few other non PWA sailors. It was really fun!

PWA: Are you hanging out with any other PWA riders?

IM: Yeah, obviously my sister, and right now Lee Korzits is visiting. Also Toni Frey, (ex-PWA sailor) and Silvia Alba.

PWA: Do you have any trips or missions planned for the winter?

IM: I’m still working on that! For sure I’ll be heading to a few places. In the coming weeks I’ll definitely be heading to La Gomera and El Hierro, (two smaller islands in the Canaries) for clinics with schools.

PWA: Where are you going to spend most time training for the 2009 season?

IM: Between my home here in Gran Canaria, and northern Fuerteventura. We have a really good range of conditions here in the Canaries, so I’m lucky that I don’t have to travel all that far to get some good training in.

PWA: Do you have any specific goals while training in between PWA seasons?

IM: Right now I’m taking a break from training, but I’m going to start soon. For sure I’ll be sailing every time there’s wind! That, and surfing as much as I can.

PWA: Do you have any funny stories or dirt on other PWA sailors?

IM: Ha, No!
