Daida and Iballa brush shoulders with the rest of the Quiksilver pro team to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary at the Tony Hawk show.

2009 PWA Women’s Wave World Champion Daida Ruano Moreno (North) and her twin sister Iballa Ruano Moreno (North) were invited to represent the sport of windsurfing at the recent Tony Hawk Show at the Grand Palais in Paris, France.

There’s possibly no one better placed to represent our sport than the beautiful Spanish sisters. Between them, they’ve got countless PWA World Championship Titles, and a stack load of event victories. Their sailing is definitely up there with the guys, Daida often pulling off awesome table top pushloops during heats, and Iballa smacking the juiciest of lips.

Living legend, Robby Naish (Naish sails, Naish boards) also made an appearance alongside other sporting heroes such as surfing genius Kelly Slater, pleasing the crowds no end.

To read the twins report on the event. By all accounts, it was a totally different experience, with live music, and a stunning display of skateboarding. Perhaps next time they’ll put an indoor windsurf pool in so that Robby and the girls can put on a show for the thousands of spectators!
